Urgent, ethereal dreampop that conjures up anxious images of the ocean at night. The end of something. Mile High by Dose of Deluxe.
I’ve been having flashbacks of what last summer felt like a lot lately. This usually happens when listening to David Bowie. It kind of reminds me of the madeleine scene from Proust, except it happens all the time and I haven’t been inspired to write quite so much about it yet. It’s a tiny elusive flash of feeling. A part of the song, the feel of the AC, my backyard growing wild like a jungle. The content sense of apprehension as someone I loved went to another country and loved me less. The mood and mind that inspired the unfinished album I’m still working on. How far I’ve come in less than a year. Is this what everything boils down to? Feeeeelings?
